Our Own Talent Show

Posted: March 22, 2014 by MedievalUser in General Info

Hard to understand what’s going on, but almost 1 year ago we submitted one of our recordings (Walk-don’t-Run – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_hO1ZlZvf8) to some auditioning site for US TalentShow (don’t remember exact name) – and never got any response (!).
Not that we really care about participating at this kind of contests, but we find it somewhat surprising that nobody invited us. We really thought that our cover of the Ventures piece is interesting and well done.

Well, at least we got a nice exposure with the AppleRecords TV commercial advertising, related to Beatles 50th anniversary, which is showing the CMB kids, playing for a few seconds the FromMeToYou cover: http://www.ispot.tv/ad/7BYM/apple-records-the-beatles-50th-anniversary

Anyway, after being rejected once by the talent show, we decided that we’ll never accept any invitation from them in the future. Just out of spite, of course. Or maybe because we don’t really consider ourselves very talented – just trying to make a difference, with a bit of educated good taste.

But meanwhile, we kind of created our own talent show, and we’ll share it here with whoever wants to be entertained by CMB. Cornelia, Olga and Stefan presented each a vocal performance in front of a jury made up by themselves. We actually planned to record a sort of funny show “the garage star” or something like that, but the project has been cancelled due to being pressed with other issues and not having much time available.

So here are the three songs interpreted by each of us.
The visitors to our site may wish to leave a comment and vote for the winner. However we already feel that Olga’s performance is better, but of course the merit is shared with Stefan and Cornelia as well.

Thanks for watching!
